Redeployment in EB-5 occurs when an investor’s original investment is repaid to the New Commercial Enterprise (NCE) before the end of their two-year conditional residency period. EB-5 regulations require that an investor’s investment be “at-risk” for the entirety of their conditional permanent residency. Thus, when such repayment happens earlier than anticipated, the investors capital must be redeployed into a new investment.
