The American Immigrant Investor Alliance (AIIA) met with the Immigrant Services Ombudsman’s Office to discuss EB-5 improvements: making sustainment requirements more fair for pre-Reform Act investors; recent denials related to currency swaps; processing delays (including the multi-month period in transferring I-526 approval to the National Visa Center which can cause children to age out); and the need for petition-inventory transparency so immigration lawyers and EB-5 petitioners can make informed decisions on their EB-5 process.
