Immigration lawyer Andy J. Semotiuk compares the EB-5 vs. E-2 route for foreign investors.  E-2 allows an investor and family to enter the States within months — but without long-term certainty, and requires active involvement in the investment. EB-5, conversely, can offer long-term certainty, and passive investing. Investors from countries that have investment treaties with the U.S. may apply for both an E-2 and EB-5 visa at the same time.
