Nassau Coliseum operator issued notice of default — can EB-5 lending group come to the rescue?

Nassau country has sent a notice of default to the lease holder for the hockey arena and concert venue. $2 million must be paid to avoid default. The leasehold lender, however, can provide payment before termination of the lease. The lender is controversial developer Nick Mastroianni, backed by EB-5 money, mostly from China. The county is hopeful that the EB-5 group can get a deal done.
