89 Chinese EB-5 investors get class certification in Chicago project rejected by city

Chinese investors gave $49.5 million in capital to a Chicago project that was meant to be a 42-story tower. They want their money back but the developer, Symmetry, won’t comply; Symmetry maintains it’s moving ahead with the project — despite city approval to designate the two buildings on the site as landmarks, thus blocking any tower development.
