Federal judge denies regional center request to block new EB-5 program changes

A D.C. court judge won’t order a preliminary injunction to stop the recent regulatory changes in the EB-5 Modernization Act, most notably the increase in investment amounts. Florida EB5 Investments, a regional center, argued that the changes would deter investors and cause the program to die. The judge was not swayed and felt not enough evidence was presented to show the changes would do irreparable harm.
