IIUSA urges USCIS to continue to hold pending EB-5 petitions in abeyance in 2022

The EB-5 not-for-profit association has written the Immigration Service urging that pending regional center investor petitions continue to be held in abeyance in the new year. USCIS previously stated that at the end of 2021, if the program is not reauthorized, the agency would reevaluate whether to maintain the hold on pending petitions. While continued abeyance is not the ideal investor outcome, the alternative is to have all such petitions denied or returned in the absence of a program extension.See the IIUSA letter to USCIS
