New USCIS Q&A: All existing EB-5 regional centers have become decommissioned; new regional center designation now requires approval of new form I-956

USICS has published a new online Q&A stating that previously approved regional centers will not retain their approved designation, and anyone wishing to apply for regional center status will need to file new form I-956, Application for Regional Center Designation. Only after the regional center has been approved and submitted a project application and received a receipt number for that application, sometime after May 14, 2022, can an EB-5 petitioner file an application (I-526)
