Developer, beset by EB-5 fraud lawsuit, hopes to sell equity in Hawaii project for $50 million

Zhong “Johnson” Fang is trying to sell 30% of the equity in a 40-story Hawaii hotel-condo project for $50 million. 27 EB-5 investors from China and Japan are suing Fang for fraud and misrepresentation. Fang is also being sued for non-payment of rent for another Hawaii project.
