The EB-5 Reform and Integrity Act of 2022 (RIA) established new investment amounts for the first time in the history of the program (notwithstanding the Modernization Rule investment-amount change in 2019 that was later declared invalid by a court).
The minimum investment amount is $800,000 for an investment made in a rural or high-unemployment area or in an infrastructure investment.
All other investments must have a minimum amount of $1,050,000.
Prior to the RIA, and since the program was first established in 1990, the minimum investment amount was $500,000 for investments in rural or high-unemployment areas, and $1,000,000 for all other investments.
