The agency has started collecting the regional center fees for the fund ($20,000 for more than 20 investors, otherwise, $10,000) as of March 1, 2023. The fund is used to help pay for the administration of the EB-5 program and to detect fraud and immigration crimes. The fees for FY 2023 are due April 1. Late fees will be imposed as of October 2023. Regional centers that fail to pay the fee within 90 days of the due date will be terminated.
