An EB-5 investor has filed a lawsuit against the New Hampshire EB-5 Regional Center LLC, alleging kickbacks to immigration attorneys and misappropriation of funds. The suit has been removed to Florida federal court by the regional center. The investor withdrew her EB-5 application and wanted the return of the $545,000 she committed in 2018; she claims the project is still largely unbuilt and that the 820 promised jobs never materialized. The regional center acknowledges it paid immigration attorneys a $45,000 referral fee per investor.
