An Iranian investor says his immigration lawyer, Taher Kameli had a conflict of interest by also being the owner of the investment fund; the investor also claims Kameli intentionally bankrupted the investment fund in order to not repay investor capital. But an Illinois federal judge dismissed the claims for exceeding the statute of limitations by several years. The investor first contacted Kameli after seeing him on Iranian TV.
