Indian EB-5 investor accuses Florida immigration attorney of malpractice and acting as unregistered securities broker

An Indian EB-5 investor is accusing his former immigration lawyer, William Hicks, of steering him into an investment “rife with fraud and conflicts” as Hicks also represented the developer of the real estate project. The investor also accuses Hicks of lying about performing due diligence on the project. The investor says that Hicks became unresponsive after filing his EB-5 petition, requiring the investor to hire a new immigration lawyer.
