The same day a lender won a $95 million judgement against the developer of the Banyan Cay Resort and Golf project, the developer filed for Chapter 11 reorganization, a form of bankruptcy that provides time to restructure debts and make a fresh start. The lawyer for the developers says the hotel is almost complete and hopes that the all parties can “work something out and be reasonable.
