USCIS changes I-526 processing approach to prioritize countries with available visas

United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has just announced that they are shifting their approach to processing I526 petitions from “first in, first out” to “one that prioritizes petitions connected to individuals from countries where visas are currently available.” The agency says this better follow’s the congressional intent for the program, and makes it more consistent with their other operations.
