Chinese investors try again to dismiss law firm from representing one of two defendants

Investors in a Vail, Colorado, condo project that are suing both the developer and the regional center are trying yet again have the law firm Snell & Wilmer dismissed from representing the regional center. They cite rules that forbid a law firm from representing a party against a former client when their interests are adverse. A judge in late January denied their earlier request to do so. The investors’ attorney Doug Litowitz says the law firm has turned the case into a horror movie: “The Thing That Wouldn’t Leave.”
