EB-5 expert says contentious new bill can “win support” & offers 3 improvements

EB-5 expert Suzanne Lazicki calls the Immigrant Investor Program Reform Act “a bill with enough benefits for enough people to win support.” She offers three ways to improve that bill: fees that go towards improving DHS processing times; remove the $10,000 annual EB5 regional center fee to allow smaller centers in distressed areas to compete; include a real integrity measure like giving annual regional center reports to investors and require an independent fund administrator to monitor capital deployment.
